Одонтологическая характеристика носителей сарматской культуры II–IV вв. н.э. с территории Нижнего Поволжья

В статье приводятся новые данные по одонтологии представителей (36 индивидов) сарматской археологической культуры (II-IV вв. н.э.) с территории Нижнего Поволжья. Для статистического анализа были привлечены сравнительные серии бронзового и раннего железного веков. В результате было выявлено, что в исследуемой серии преобладают признаки западного одонтологического ствола. Полученные данные демонстрируют сходство со скифами (VI-IV вв. до н.э.) и «черняховцами» (II-IV вв. н.э.) Северного Причерноморья и культурами Южной Сибири раннего железного века. В сравнении с группами бронзового века наибольшая близость прослеживается со среднеазиатскими культурами.
