Abstract

The results of study the finds from wood material, which is today completely disappearing from the archaeological and the ethnographic turn are represented in the article. The analysis of the archaeological finds of wood from medieval monuments shows that the artefacts of a material “Barbera” were found in many of these sites. Typical objects of regular geometric forms, carved from the bark of the dark color found in excavation trenches of towns and settlements located on the banks of rivers, lakes, seas. These products are the product balbinova fishery that is mostly fishermen. A complete typology of floats and other articles of similar material, reconstruction of some fishing gear is represented in the article.
