Abstract

In the paper one variant on interpretation of the famous bowl (minai technique) from Azov (Azak) is discussed. This item (Persian import) was repeatedly examined in literature. Now we consider no technique, time and place of production but interpretation of the subject as presentation of paradise only. Pairwise representation of the subjects do not connected with Al-Firdaus absolutely, but established by fixed space of round item. Two “paradisical spings” are signed as usual “hummocks” with plants on one side in painted bowls. The quotation from the Qur’an used by M.G. Kramarovsky to illustrate the paradise describes no Eden at all, but
punishment for apostasy. So, interpretation don’t correspond to painting.
