Abstract

The development of arts and crafts is an integral part of our history. Antique items carry the history of the past, pass on certain traditions and knowledge to new generations. Artistic works made of bone are expensive not only in terms of the material value, but, first of all, in terms of the historical value and significance. Looking at the works of ancient masters, one can only be surprised by their high talent and openwork carving skill. The Kholmogory fishery has a long and difficult history, a history of ups and downs. But, despite all this, Kholmogory bone carving continues to develop and improve, giving birth to ever more talented craftsmen.
