Abstract

The article deals with one of the blocks of coins from the hoard of the first third of the XV century, kept in the State Historical Museum. Coins are divided into 11 blocks, depending on the type. Most of the specimens with the name of Muhammad were identified – 437 pieces. Bolgar Mint is indicated on 502 dirhams, another 4 belong to the Horde. Bolgar coins depicting a three-legged tamga are divided into two parts – 8 and 89 specimens, respectively. It was established that akcha with a three-legged tamga and a legend on the reverse side were minted with the weight of 0,56±0,02 g, and akcha only with a three-legged tamga with a weight of 0,53±0,02. Based on the comparison of the metrology of the previously published coins of Barak Khan, researchers conclude that akcha with a three-legged tamga and legend were minted in 1420–1423, and akcha only with a three-legged tamga – most likely after 1424. Two photo tables are given at the end of the article.
