Abstract

The article presents to the results of studying iron multifunctional and specialized tools found at the Pinchuga-6 burial ground of the III–IV centuries AD in the Lower Angara region. The thirty five of tools were found at the burial ground. All of them are made of iron. The authors identified the following categories among them: knives, chisels, blacksmith hammer, point-tool, scraper, needles, an item of unknown purpose. Knives have the greatest variety. Some types of knives are universal and widespread, others are found most often in the lower Angara valley. Many categories of tools find analogies in synchronous materials in neighboring territories (Krasnoyarsk forest-steppe, Tomsk Ob region, Kuznetsk basin, Tuva). The materials from the Pinchuga-6 burial ground are currently the earliest examples of most iron tools in the region.
