The historical and cultural situation in the Early Iron Age in the northwestern forest zone have been characterized by several researches as a cultural transformation driven by the expansion of the Middle Volga Ananyino groups in the middle of the I millennium BC, which led to the emergence of hybrid cultural and ceramic complexes. This study examines the specific manifestations of this process in the Southern Onega region, situated at the watershed of the Upper Volga, Baltic, and White Sea basins. The article presents Early Iron Age materials from the multi-period settlement of Tudozero-V in northwestern Vologda region, excavated by A.M. Ivanishchev between 1986 and 2005. The pottery assemblage, published here for the first time, aligns with the Late Kargopol archaeological culture as defined in previous research and indicates repeated reoccupation of the site on a sandspit (Kenda) between Lake Onega and Lake Tudozero.
