The paper deals with the results of salvage excavations carried out in the delta of the Don River on the territory of the western group of the Elizavetovskiy barrow field. As a result, barrow 109 was investigated, where 14 different-time burials were found. Most of these burials were made during the Bronze Age, with only three ones dating to the period of the barbarian Elizavetovsky settlement. It was found that the original mound, made in the Bronze Age, was covered by a mound of complex architecture during the Scythian period, shifting the barrow center to the east. In barrow 109, for the first time in the Elizabethan burial ground, human sacrifices were recorded at the time of the funeral feast. The central burial of the Scythian period barrow turned out had been plundered, but the remains of the inventory allowed dating it to the 80-70 years of the IV century BC. At the same time, the conducted research allows us to attribute barrow 109 to the group of elite barrows of the Elizavetovskiy burial ground, which also includes the Pyatibratniye barrows.
