Abstract

Arrowheads of the Kelteminar type is category of artifacts found in a large area from North Caspian Regionto Altai and Tobol-Irtysh basin. A reason for widespread of these tools and their origin has not been fully clarifi ed. The amount of information for solving these issues has been sharply increased over the past twenty years and requires consideration. This paper is the historiographical overview of the issue of origin and widespread of Kelteminar-type arrowheads. The main points of researchers' view on this category of artifacts are highlighted. Besides, two of Kelteminar-type arrowheads from lithic assemblage of the Lipchinsky site are introduced into scientifi c discourse. The arrowheads are interpreted as Eneoilthic.
