M.V. GORELIK’S CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIAN MILITARY ARCHAEOLOGY

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the contribution by the renowned Russian archaeologist and armament expert to the development of national military archaeology. It features the major milestones of his biography and creative scientifi c life, outlining the primary areas of his research activity and key scientifi c works. It demonstrates the signifi cance of his works and the method of graphical and actual reconstruction of the military costume of ancient and medieval Eurasian peoples established by M.V. Gorelik for the development of science.
