CHRONOLOGY AND REGIONALIZATION OF THE EPIGRAPHIC MONUMENTS OF KAZAN KHANATE: ISSUES AND PRELIMINARY RESULTS

The article is dedicated to the issues of chronology and zoning of epigraphic monuments dating back to the Kazan Khanate period. As is known, the sources on the history of the Kazan Khanate are very scarce. According to the most recent information, a total of 290 gravestones (out of 296) aer located in the central part of Kazan Khanate. The monuments are located in 93 villages and occupy the territory of the 16th district encircling the town of Kazan. Epigraphic monuments of the Kazan Khanate period have also preserved in regions away from the central lands. These are primarily the Kirov region and Chuvashia.
