KAMA-URAL COMPONENT IN THE CERAMIC COMPLEX OF THE STAROROMASHKINSKY SETTLEMENT

Abstract

A large percentage of fi ndings obtained during the study of the materials of Volga Bolgaria sites is ceramics or ware (pottery) of local manufacture corresponding to the I group of All-Bolgar ceramics (after the classification by T. A. Khlebnikova). The “traditional” ceramics stands out from the wide range of various forms of All-Bolgar group ceramics, with the reason for its signifi cance being the presence of diff erent ethnic groups in Volga Bolgaria. Of particular interest among them are the Ugrians who brought their traditions to the region, and the work considers the relationships revealed on the basis of the study of a stucco ware complex - VII, VIII, XIII and XVII groups of ceramics (after the classifi cation by T. A. Khlebnikova) discovered in the territory of Staroromashkinsky settlement.
