The Conservation Experience of Mudbrick Archaeological Monuments in the Framework of the Creation of the Archaeological Park on the Example of Kultobe Settlement

The article states the basic principles and approaches to conducting archaeological research and conservation work on the Kultobe settlement in 2019–2021 with the assistance of a team of international and regional specialists within the boundaries of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi" in Turkistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan. Briefly highlighted the main landmarks in the study of the monument, the prehistory and some aspects of the project "Conservation of historical objects of Kultobe settlement", that aimed to create the Archaeological park on the site. The logic of the adopted decisions for conservation regarding the identified mudbrick structures is highlighted and some preliminary results are summarized. Special attention is paid to the compliance of the carried out activities with international documents developed with the assistance of UNESCO, ICOMOS and ICCROM.
