Семантика образа барана в орнаментальной традиции памятников Нижней Сырдарьи

Орнаментальные традиции Нижней Сырдарьи представляют собой систему символов, отражающую мировоззрение и обрядовую практику населения средневекового периода. В декоре керамики, архитектурных элементов и предметов мелкой пластики выделяются три основные группы мотивов: геометрические (ромбы, зигзаги, крестообразные композиции), растительные (побеги, листья, розетки) и зооморфные. Эти мотивы выражали представления о благополучии, защите и родовой принадлежности. Среди зооморфных мотивов особое место занимает образ барана, встречающийся как в орнаментальных композициях, так и в пластических изображениях. Его значение связано с идеями изобилия, жертвоприношения и социального статуса. Изображение барана нередко сочеталось с другими мотивами, подчёркивая обрядовый или символический характер композиции. Таким образом, мотив барана в орнаментальной традиции Нижней Сырдарьи является частью целостной системы, где каждый элемент имеет собственное значение и усиливает смысловое единство орнамента.
